They modified the Honda's KCW125, under Honda's consultancy, and became a standard model called the GY6.

The GY6 engine is known by different names in various regions and applications. like C110, CD110, GY6/C110, GY6 80, GY6 125, GY6 150, Wave110...etc. 

Although the GY6 engine may be called by different names in different markets, the standard GY6 design is based on a 52.4 mm bore size.
